[He says it pretty automatically, but looks a little embarrassed by it.]
Like - I don't know you. But I've seen so many people lose somebody and get cruel. When I lost somebody, I was pretty brutal for a while, too. You aren't like that. You've been trying hard to put things right instead. I don't think there's anything more important than that.
Thanks. [ give her a moment to form a better response. ] When I found out Guy did the rock thing, I... could have approached him right away. I learned about it on Tuesday. But I didn't want to talk to him while I was really angry, since I knew I'd probably just hit him a lot.
[ so she gave herself a few days to cool down and. she did not cool down, but at least guy did not get jumped. ]
It just seemed like it would get in the way of what we're doing.
I can say. It's... pretty stupid of him, honestly, no matter how he tried to excuse it.
[ although now it feels like an asshole move to say that since he's getting scapegoated but anyway ]
He thought we didn't care enough. That we weren't angry or taking the situation seriously, so he wanted to motivate us to do better. We wasted too much time at the beginning of Yu's trial, except the only reason that happened was because we had no body or evidence to even examine for the first few hours.
[ ugh ]
It was more or less a tantrum that he tried to disguises as a lesson.
I get that, and being frustrated with how results go.
[ especially considering uh, tonight, ]
It's the setting the rocks that were used to kill Evan and Tsurumaru at their memorials that gets me. And he kept saying he bought them because he didn't want someone else to get 'cute' with them but-- what? I am pretty sure no one else would have bought them unless it was to get rid of them.
He's the only psycho who thought to get cute with them in the first place! Aww, poor guy. I'm not exactly a brain genius, either, but at least I know it.
If he hadn't done that, he might not have been picked. There were other reasons why people were suspicious of him... or as suspicious as they could be when we had no idea what happened. But people might have been less likely to vote for him.
[ the question then would have been: who else would they vote for if it wasn't guy? but that will get them stuck on examining too many possibilities they can't actually prive. ]
I think that going by what we managed to find, it wasn't too surprising that we voted for him.
[ he was the most suspicious person out of the bunch, even if it turns out that apparently he's just fuckin sketchy on his own even without murdering. ]
... think it might have been a reward for winning?
Nope. Just speculation about whether they exist or not.
... which isn't surprising. They're usually told to be kept quiet, and apparently on the [ fuck ] boat they even got actively punished if they told people about it.
Yeah. On the boat, it was fake clues and shit - didn't wind up telling Taako my team at first because he was all, we might get punished. But then it was nothing.
At the castle, I had a role that was basically... finding all the other roles? But every time we successfully located one, we could ask any question we wanted and would get a real answer.
I didn't have shit, but there were roles like that in mine, too. I wonder if it's gonna be like that here, though, when we all have powers and teams, too.

... at this point it seems like the only good I'd do, at this rate.

[Shrugging! You can feel bad somebody was scapegoated and also think they're maybe kind of a dipshit.]
I guess I get it, though. Wanting to do something, even if you only plan sucks and is dumb.
