Listen. I'm going to try to think if there's something I can tell you. But I wanna hear about your motivations. What are you trying to figure out, here?
I'm not looking to condemn you, if that's what you're worried about.
I'm just curious about what the full picture here looks like. I think there's a lot of moving parts in play right now, where we're probably mostly trying to work toward the same thing. But it runs the risk of some of the gears getting stuck in each others' way, you know?
If someone's angry at me, I can handle that. If someone wants to vote for me in trial, I can't stop that either way. So - doesn't matter so much to me whether people generally think I did it, or what they think happened, aside from it making it awkward to stop and chat.
[He does at least seem sincere in this? Not angry, just calm.]
What worries me, I guess, is what you mean by gears stuck in each others' way. What do you think's in your way? 'cause from where I sit, everybody's trying to work towards the same thing.
Funny thing to ask on the heels of a trial that became as huge of a shitshow as it did largely because of well-intentioned plans that people made as individuals developing complications-- supposedly.
[ sanji and yasusada, hm. ]
We might all be trying to work toward the same thing, but that doesn't mean we don't risk stepping on each other's toes if we're not on the same page? I don't mean to imply I have a specific, personal agenda here, but I suppose you could say that misinformation and disorganization could be considered things that are in our collective ways.
I guess I just wonder - if Sanji and Yasusada were willing to kill people based on hunches and suspicions and trying to avenge a friend, is there anybody else out there who might go around acting like that? I'm worried about it. Not for me, I know I can handle it, but - feels like that's gotta be the reason there's been such a body count lately, right? And that body count seems like it's gonna fuck up our shot at getting out of here.

[So. Not much, it doesn't seem.]

[Scratching at his beard, thoughtful.]
