Beyond that, I got my Tamagotchi that blocks an attack. I don't know if Taako can use that, but consider it.
Otherwise, just. Don't wander off from him. If somebody tries to attack him, you should probably dive in the way physically and use your body to intercept the blow, since you obviously have way more HP than he does. And worst comes to worst. . .

Well, if something goes really wrong out there, then frame me, okay? You can be obvious about it - stop around with my boots or something, cut up the body with my axe, I don't care. I can probably argue I was framed, and no one will think Taako would frame me, but he still wouldn't like this plan so do it whether he agrees or not.
